LAKE MCKENZIE-FRASER ISLAND

I took this photograph while travelling in Australia. This is Lake McKenzie which is on Fraser Island. We stayed on the island for one night. To get to this lake you have to travel through the rainforest, eventually you get to an area where you can walk down to the lake. You cannot see the lake for ages and then suddenly you come to a clearing where you can see the entire lake. It is absolutely stunning as it is so unexpected. On my return to the UK I captured it in oils.
